Hi, I am Joran Lavers and Studio Mirari was born from my own journey through achievement, disconnection, and rediscovery.

For years, I played the roles well. With a degree in Business Engineering and a career spanning management consulting, corporate multinationals, and Belgium’s fastest-growing scale-up, I knew the lines of success in every arena. I understood how to craft company strategies and how to behave like the “perfect” professional yet no matter how well I performed, something essential stayed out of reach.

I began to see the toll of expectations. Whether in a consultant’s suit or a manager’s office, we are taught to live out scripts of pleasing, adapting, and achieving until we forget what is real. We aim for performance, not presence. I realized I was playing the part perfectly, but I wasn’t truly inhabiting it.

The shift for me happened when my professional track and my life as a semi-professional improviser finally collided.
For many years, I had lived a double life. In the office, I had to hold it together; on stage, I practiced the radical art of letting it go.
When those two worlds met, I realized that the magic of the stage — the visceral presence, the willingness to play, and then the effortless obviousness of finding a way forward with no plan — was the exact antidote needed for the nagging, rigid scripts of the corporate world.

Next, I gained real-life experience coaching young adults in distress (Youth at Risk) and brought it all together: from my background in business to my years in theatre.

I understand the unique friction of your environment, but I also have the tools to help you transcend it.
I call it stepping out of the script, and into yourself.
